Residential and Commercial Pest Control
Don't allow pests time to unpack! MyLo Pest and Termite Control will evict your unwanted visitors using proven, safe, effective treatment methods, with guaranteed results.
I stumbled into the world of professional pest control by chance, just looking for a new gig, something different. I quickly developed a passion for the profession, and have since dedicated my life to the study and control of insects and rodents.
In late 2023, after nearly a decade of experience in professional pest control, I made the decision to start my own company. With the support of my wife and a few outstanding mentors, MyLo Pest and Termite Control opened in early 2024.
My mission is to deliver the most modern treatments, utilizing the latest technology, while providing good old fashioned customer service. I want to make the experience of professional pest control as stress-free and painless as possible for my clients.
A tiny Praying Mantis. These guys are very beneficial, so I always try to rescue them!
Please feel free to contact me at Mylopestandtermite@gmail.com if you can't find the answer you're looking for.
Because I am a one-man operation, when you hire me, you deal directly with me. No call centers or administrators, no inexperienced technicians, no complicated billing.
I have a fascination with insects, and a true passion for pest control, I have dedicated my life to the profession, and I always look forward to putting my experience to work for people. I like to say that I kill bugs for a living, but my profession is helping people.
My name is Ben, not MyLo! When I started the business, I wanted to name it after my wife. Her name is Lorell, but she often goes by the nickname Lo. She is my Lo, or "MyLo"!
My number one goal is your satisfaction. Should a situation arise where I fall short of providing satisfactory results, I will continue to work with you until I do, at no additional cost.
There are rare occasions where a guarantee cannot be made, usually due to a situation that is out of the control of myself and my client (issues with a neighboring property, common walls, multi-unit buildings, etc.). In these rare situations, the inability to provide a warranty will be expressly written and explained beforehand.
This is Arizona, we have ALL KINDS of creepy crawlies! Spiders, Ants, Centipedes, Roaches, Beetles, Millipedes, Scorpions, Wasps, Bees, Yellow Jackets, and Mosquitoes, to name a few. Not to mention snakes, bats, pigeons, mice, rats, racoons, skunks, ringtail cats, and javelina.
The most common pests that trigger a need or desire for pest control are spiders, roaches, and ants.
The most common pest to trigger a scream or a nightmare is a centipede!
Pests that pose real threats to people and pets are Black Widow Spiders, Scorpions, German Roaches, Yellow Jackets, Bees, and Wasps.
We DO have termites! Northern Arizona is home to two main species of termites: the Subterranean Termite and the Drywood Termite, each having their own distinct characteristics. We have other wood destroying organisms as well, like Carpenter Ants and Wood Boring Beetles.
No, I do not use "Certified Green" products. The products I use are all regulated by the Enviornmental Protection Agency and come with a strict set of guidelines for their use. When applied properly and according to the regulations, they are as safe for the environment, people, and pets as possible.
When used properly and within regulations, pesticides are as safe to use around children and pets as possible. All people and pets need to stay away from treated areas until the treatment had dried, or fumes have dissipated. All the products I use are approved and regulated by the Enviornmental Protection Agency.
In most cases, you do not need to leave your home during treatment. I may recommend that you leave your home for a few hours if a more extensive treatment is required. Ample notice will be given if there will be a need to vacate the home. However, if you are sensitive to or are uncomfortable about chemicals, it may be a good idea to leave the home for an hour or two after an interior service.
The length of a pest control treatment depends on the type and severity of the pest infestation. Most general pest control treatments take 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
No, you do not need to be home during the service. As long as I have access around the exterior, and all pets are secured inside, I can perform your treatment. A treatment record will be emailed directly after the service is complete.
For the safety of everyone involved, pets need to be secured and away from the treatment zones during the application and while the products are drying. Also, while the family dog may be very friendly, I am a stranger in the dogs house, and I smell like all kinds of other animals. During my 10 years in the pest control business, I have been bitten several times by the family dog, so I must insist that even the friendliest of Fidos be secured while I am on the property.
Not seeing any bugs? That's great, that means the treatment is working! With continued pest control treatments, the pest population around a home will become "controlled", and the property will be in a maintenance phase. These maintenance treatments are just as critical as the initial treatments, because as soon as the pesticide barrier degrades, pests can move right back in!
I currently do not offer any online scheduling.
I like to cater scheduling and communication to the needs of my clients. For most people, I will call, text, or email, depending on preference, a week before service is due and set up a specific time and date. In most cases I will provide a one hour window for my arrival time.
I also offer a set schedule for those that prefer, such as the last Friday of the month, the first Monday of every-other-month, etc.
I will do my absolute best to accommodate any scheduling need!
I can take a check, cash, or a credit/debit card. I do not charge a fee to use a credit card. Cards are processed securely through Square, and can be saved on file for future use.
